The MCC football team practices to prepare for the new season. The T-birds are ranked 21st in the nation.

New head coach Mike Jacobs and his Thunderbird football team are preparing for the new season in which they are ranked 21st in the preseason NJCAA polls. The team had 16 players from last season move on to the next level including quarterback Dax Crum (Univ. of Wyoming) and tight end Micah Parker (Utah State Univ.).

The team does return two All-Americans however in receiver Terrance Moore and linebacker Zach Hernandez.

The Thunderbirds arguably have the toughest schedule in their conference as they play both #4 Snow College and #15 Glendale C.C. twice.

The T-Birds look to return to return to the Valley of the Sun Bowl and at least match their 9-2 record from last year.
