Romantic comedy to debut at Theatre Outback

The play that inspired the hit musical, My Fair Lady, is coming to MCC.

Pygmalion debuts Jan. 27 and runs until Feb. 4.

Penned by George Bernard Shaw in the early twentieth century, Pygmalion tells the story of a poor flower girl and the young professor of phonetics that attempts to take her from rags to riches.

The play has enjoyed massive popularity and critical acclaim. "Shaw is arguably the best playwright of his time, and we are true to his intentions," said David Barker, the show's director.

Pygmalion remains Shaw's most popular play to date Patrons can expect an experience that is "Funny, colorful, and very witty."

The play is starred by Tori Lewis as Eliza Doolittle, and Chris Zunino as Professor Henry Higgins.

Curtains will open at 7:30p.m. Jan. 27 - Feb. 3 and at 2 p.m. Jan. 29th and February 4.

Performances run for about two hours including an intermission.

The show is held on the MCC Southern and Dobson campus at the Theatre Outback near the south parking lot.

General Admission is $15. Student and senior admission is $10.

Parking is free in the south lot.

Come for a night of comedy, high society, and diamonds in the rough.
