Summer is right around the corner and many students will be looking for a summer-time job to put a little extra cash into their pockets. CGCC student Nathan Poorman said that he will work this summer with his own company, Lawn Enforcement. Lawn Enforcement is a landscaping business that Poorman and two of his friends have put together to make some extra cash this summer and possibly even make a career out of it.
Kim Sheperd and Dustin Loehr, MCC alumnus, had a kindred ideal when they opened RhythmSoled Performance Studio. RhythmSoled is a studio open to anyone of any age or skill level offering a range of classes in multiple disciplines. The couple first conceived RhythmSoled as a venue to showcase Loehr's professional career.
Incubus has been a band for 18 years. While many bands seem to come and go, this five piece group from Calabasas, California isn't going anywhere anytime soon. They continuously push boundaries musically by reinventing themselves with each record they produce.

Summer '09 is going to be packed with must-see movies. From May to August, there are plenty of different movies to fit everybody's taste. The summer started off when X-Men Origins: Wolverine, opened on May 1. The movie premier was held at Tempe Market Place.
Energy drinks are becoming more and more popular, even though most experts aren't even sure of the long-term effects these drinks can have on a person. Caffeine experts at John Hopkins Univeristy have been studying the effects of caffeine. Because of the high doses of caffeine in energy drinks, Hopkins researchers have said that these drinks should carry prominent labels and note caffeine doses and potential health risks.
The Valley is home to a prominent art scene and one of the more exciting places Arizonans have access to is the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Arts. From director Steve Shill comes the new drama-thriller "Obsessed" staring Idris Elba, Beyonce Knowles and Ali Larter. But movie goers who weren't into the 2002 flick "Swimfan" shouldn't waste their time on this played out 'crazy girl' routine. "Obsessed" is about a temp worker (Larter) who becomes fixated on a successful asset manager (Elba) and can't seem to get it through her head that there's nothing between them.

All of these claim to be simple tasks, but often seem to carry many burdens. For those who have been graced with issues regarding their residency, tuition payment or class scheduling, have been sent to campus in hope to resolve their problem.
Every morning at 7 a.m. Donald Meeks begins preparing his daily special, chopping vegetables and preparing sauces at the 'World Fare' station in the cafeteria. Around 10 a.m., depending on the dish of the day, a line begins to form. The 'regulars' arrive at the lunch counter, waiting for their daily fix.
Each year here at MCC, The Learning Enhancement Center gets over 24,000 students who come in for academic support. Many students who are new to the campus might not know that MCC offers a total of nine free academic support services for just about every subject, all in which are completely free.
The Red Mountain Campus is adding a new addition to its campus in early September. "The Learning Center is combined of two main components. The Saguaro Building will support the sciences and performing arts," said Vice President of Leadership Stephanie Nyman.
The availability of online classes has changed the way some students continue their education. Online classes have grown in popularity over the past 10 years and now make up a sizeable portion of available college courses. However, taking courses online can help or hinder the education process.
